This e-book has been developed by a team of Bank staff and by consultants that work as part of the Disruptive KIDS (Knowledge, Information & Data Services) Helpdesk led by Nagaraja Rao Harshadeep (Harsh), Global Lead (Disruptive Technology) and Lead Environmental Specialist in the Bank’s Global Environment Department. Specifically, Kavita Kapur Macleod, Isabel Tellez Ramos, Hrishikesh Patel, Afua Owusua Oguah, Shaffiq Somani, Akash Mehta, Thomson Jacob Edward Chelladurai, Yolande Andeng Munzimi, Alain Curtis Robinson, and Aminul Islam conducted research and writing to develop this e-book. They have worked with the Bank’s Sahel team, including Nour Masri and this work has benefitted from the “deep dives” on disruptive technology with the Bank team and clients that have been carried out as part of the RESILAND Sahel Program that has followed from the SAWAP (Sahel and West Africa Program in Support of the Great Green Wall).
