Vision 2030 and Water

The Saudi Vision 2030 encompasses a broad, progressive view on moving towards a more modern Saudi Arabia that facilitates a vibrant society, thriving economy, and an ambitious nation. The work of the CWMC can support many of these vision pillars as indicated below:

The Saudi Vision 2030 sets out an ambitious yardstick for the country that requires dramatically new paradigms for the way many aspects of the society, economy, and environment are managed. A vision of environmental sustainability includes promoting optimal user of water resources by reducing consumption and increased utilization of treated and renewable water. This includes new paradigms for leveraging new technology in the digital economy, developing telecommunications and information technology infrastructure, especially high-speed broadband. The Vision 2030 also emphasizes the need for effective e-government, with emphasis on improving geographic information online services, cloud applications, as well as data sharing platforms, and indicates that decisions should be based on detailed analytics. This should help further modernize water governance, including building on new advances in data, analytics, knowledge, and learning to support water-related decisions.

SDGs
