This e-book content was developed by Nfamara K Dampha (Climate Change consultant) and Arame Tall (Senior Environment Specialist, TTL). The analytical contents were drawn from the two technical reports led by Climate Centre et al., (2021)1 and Natural Capital Project, Stanford University (2021)2. The two technical studies were commissioned by the World Bank-executed Advisory Services and Analytics (ASA) project on diagnosing drivers of climate and environmental fragility in Burundi. The flood risk assessment using spatial multi-criteria evaluation method was conducted by Nfamara K. Dampha. This e-book activity was supervised by Nagaraja Rao Harshadeep (Harsh), Global Lead (Disruptive Technology) at the World Bank. This e-book’s technical support was provided by a team of Bank consultants, Hrishikesh Patel and Nfamara K. Dampha from the Disruptive KIDS (Knowledge, Information & Data Services) Helpdesk led by Harsh.
The story map accompanying this report was developed by Climate Centre et al., (2021). It shows the interactions among different indicators of risks across climate, migration, and conflict. It uses the INFORM index framework to represent a compound risk analysis at different time scales: now, 2030 and 2050. The map is interactive, you can zoom, scroll, hover for additional information and filter layers.
